House rules

In force from August 6, 2026

These rules are part of the agreement you accept when you create an account. They apply to every club on the platform — public or private — and to everything you put on it: your profile, your photo, your published tastings and your verdicts. There is no separate set of rules for private clubs; a closed door is not a licence.

1. 17+ only

Humidor Club is rated 17+ and is meant for adults who are of legal smoking age where they live. By creating an account you confirm that you are. Accounts we find to belong to minors are deleted, not warned.

The app is a record-keeping tool for something people already do. It does not sell tobacco, does not link to shops, does not run tobacco advertising, and does not encourage anyone to start smoking or to smoke more.

2. No selling, trading or passing tobacco between members

This is the rule with no second chance, and it is deliberately broad.

• No sales, trades, gifts, group buys, “looking for”, “have spares”, or auctions.
• No prices offered to other people, no shipping arrangements, no payment details.
• No links to shops, marketplaces, resellers or your own storefront.
• No arranging any of the above elsewhere and pointing to it from a club.

The product gives you nowhere to do it: there is no field anywhere for a price shown to another member, and the value of your own collection stays on your device and is never shared with anyone. A club used for trading is removed along with the account that created it.

3. Nothing abusive

• No harassment, threats, or campaigns against a person.
• No hate speech about nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, orientation, disability or age.
• No sexual content, and no content involving minors in any way.
• No illegal content, and nothing about drugs other than legal tobacco.
• No impersonating another person, brand or club, and no fake profiles.

Your profile has to be you: a real first and last name, and a photograph of you rather than a stock image or somebody else’s face. This is a platform of small circles where people meet in person — anonymity here does not protect anyone, it only makes the place worse.

4. What you see in a club stays in the club

When a member shares a tasting or their humidor, they share it with that club — not with the internet. Do not republish someone else’s photos, notes, scores or shelf outside the club you saw them in, and do not screenshot a club into a public channel. Members set their sharing per club precisely because the answer is different for different circles.

5. Founders and moderators

Anyone can create a club, and creating one makes you responsible for it. That is a real duty, not a title:

• you decide who gets in, by invitation or by application, and you own that decision;
• you remove content in your club that breaks these rules;
• you remove members who keep breaking them;
• you can appoint moderators to help, and their actions are still yours.

A founder who lets a club drift into trading or abuse loses the club and the account with it. Whoever invited a member stays visible on that member’s profile, so an invitation is a small piece of your reputation.

6. Reports and what follows

Every profile, every published tasting and every club can be reported from inside the app. Reports go to the platform, not only to the founder of the club in question — a founder cannot be the sole judge of their own club, and a spam club would otherwise moderate itself.

We read reports and act within 24 hours. Depending on what we find:

• the content is removed;
• the member is removed from the club;
• the account is suspended;
• the account and everything on it is deleted permanently, and the person is not welcome back.

Trading tobacco, sexual content, anything involving minors, and threats go straight to the last step. We do not run a warning system for those.

7. Blocking

You can block any member. A block is mutual and total: the two of you disappear from each other’s clubs, cigar pages and search results, including anything either of you publishes later. You never have to give a reason, and the other person is not notified.

8. Reaching us

If something needs attention faster than an in-app report, or you cannot get into the app at all, write to efsh49@gmail.com. Include a link or a screenshot and the name of the club it happened in.

9. Changes to these rules

If the rules change, the new version is published at this address with a new date. Continuing to use the platform after that means you accept it. Changes that make the rules stricter apply immediately; everything else applies from the date shown.

10. Terms of use

These house rules sit on top of Apple’s standard licence agreement, which governs your use of the app itself: Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where a club-specific rule here is stricter, the stricter one applies.
